Landon Novy Awarded National FFA Scholarship

Landon Novy has been selected by the National FFA Foundation to receive a scholarship designed to encourage students who are likely to become future leaders in agriculture. The recipients are chosen on the basis of the time and effort they have devoted to FFA involvement, work experience, supervised agricultural experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills, and academics. According to the FFA Foundation, “There is a need to fill the pipeline of leaders in the agriculture industry, and industry is stepping up to help students meet that need. In 2024, they awarded $83,500 in scholarships to 36 South Dakota FFA members.

The FFA scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals and Novy’s award was provided by TSC – Trade. TSC or Tractor Supply Company opened its first store in 1938 in Minot, North Dakota. Today, TSC is the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the U.S. and a $14.6 billion company with over 2,200 stores in 49 states with 50,000+ team members. Last November, TSC announced that the scholarship, – the largest of its kind– will be funded by a five-year, $5 million commitment from the Tractor Supply Foundation.
