Agricultural producers must submit crop acreage reports to the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) by July 15 to be eligible for most USDA programs. The 2024 acreage report maps are ready to be picked up at the Grant County FSA Office. Call 605.432.6570 – Extension 2.

According to Joel Foster, executive director of Grant County’s FSA, producers need to provide crop and crop type or variety, intended use of the crop, number of acres of the crop, planting date(s), producer shares, irrigation practice(s), and acreage prevented from planting, when applicable. Prevented planting acreage must be reported on form CCC-576 – Notice of Loss no later than 15 calendar days after the final planting date as established by FSA and USDA’s Risk Management Agency. The final date to report prevented planting for Corn was June 10 and soybeans is June 26.
