MHS Students Perform in South Dakota’s 50th Honor Choir Concert

Anna Neugebauer, Camryn Sovell, Ashlynn Batchelor, Graham Lightfield, Garrett Weber, and Bryan Meyer – all students at MHS – performed in concert with the 50th South Dakota High School Honor Choir at the University of Sioux Falls on Friday, August 2.  Lynda R. Hasseler, D.M.A, a professor of music and director of choral activities at the Conservatory of Music at Capital University, in Columbus, Ohio, served as their director. 

Rehearsals and choir activities were held from July 28 – August 2. The formal concert was presented at the Washington Pavilion in downtown Sioux Falls. A  Reunion Alumni Choir composed  of honor choir members from 1975-2023 joined the music festival and its culminating concert this year to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the high school choir.
