The Bulldogs travel to Madison on Thursday, October 24, to play what is likely their last football game of the season. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. Milbank is currently seeded  No. 9 just outside the top-eight teams that qualify for the play-offs in Class A.

On Friday, October 18, Milbank hosted West Central in a conference matchup and their last home game of the season at A.B. Campbell Stadium. The Bulldogs fell to the Trojans 51-7, but not before a brief burst of brilliance early in the game. The Dawgs bared their teeth to draw blood first at 7:04 mark, when quarterback Braylen Bowsher broke free for a dramatic 85-yard touchdown run. The successful extra-point kick by Moises Luna put Milbank up 7-0.

West Central quickly responded. Trojan Aiden Bartmann scored a 25-yard touchdown to tie the game. Shortly after, Bartmann added another five-yard touchdown to push West Central ahead 14-7. The back-to-back scores caused the momentum of the game to swing the other way, and the Bulldogs could not seem to recalibrate. The Trojans added another 35-yard touchdown to put the score at 21-7 by the end of the first quarter, and they finished the first half with a 91-yard touchdown run with just 1:43 remaining in the second quarter to move the Trojans ahead 44-7 at halftime.

With the clock continuously running in the second half, West Central had a huge advantage, but the only score came with nine seconds to go in the third quarter on a 10-yard touchdown run to bring the final score to 51-7.

The Bulldogs finished with169 total yards – 162 rushing and seven passing. The Trojans accrued a total of 141 yards – all on the ground. Bowsher made 13 carries for 112 yards. Schuleter had 14 carries for 45 yards. Scoular had three for 21 yards. Milbank’s defense was led by Owen Tesch with five tackles. Emmett Hanson made four. Jesse Schneck and Ethan Owen pulled down three apiece. Each team had two turnovers. Milbank had one interception and West Central had two.
