Milbank FFA members competed at the District 1 Leadership Development Event contest on Monday November 11, in Doland. MHS students secured multiple first and second-place awards to advance to State. Megan Wiese was also elected as the District 1 Reporter for 2024-25. Sara Colombe is the agriculture instructor and FFA adviser at MHS.

District 1 Results for Milbank:
Parliamentary Procedure Team – First Place – Advance to State
Members – Veronica Fonder, Ashlynn Lamp, Megan Wiese, Cody Wiik, Sam Shelstad, and Kalli Grong

Chapter Conduct of Meeting Team – Second Place – Advance to State 
Members –  Kyra Tostenson, Bridget Regil, Avery Lamp, Payton Lamp, Alyna Gloe, Addison Locke, and Ryder Peterson

Prepared Public Speaking – First Place – Advances to State –  Bailey Schwagel

Employability Skills – Second Place – Advances to State – Megan Wiese 
Kayla Schweer will serve as the alternate.
