

Members of the MHS chapter of Educators Rising joined over 300 high school students for the annual state competition. The event was hosted by Dakota State University’s College of Education and Human Performance in Madison on February 24.
Milbank chalked up seven awards, including the Outstanding Educators Rising Chapter of the Year. Five Bulldogs earned the opportunity to attend the group’s national conference and competition to be held in Orlando, Florida, from June 26-29.
MHS Students who will be competing at Nationals include: Keira Steffen, who received first place at State in the Job Interview category; Max Schuelke, who received first place in Creative Lecture; Yanderyn Olivares, who received second place in Creative Lecture; Kalli Moser; and Charlotte Street, who received third place in Job Interview. Carlos Olivares received a bronze award at State, but did not qualify for the national competition. Carlos, however, attended the 2024 national conference in Washington, D.C.
