Milbank FFA Members Rewarded at CDE in Groton

Milbank FFA members competed at the Groton Career Development Event (CDE) on Friday, February 26. Three teams led the way for Milbank by earning fourth-place finishes. Lady Bulldog Kalli Grong brought home Milbank’s highest individual finish of second place in Livestock Evaluation, and Kayla Schweer was third in the Vet Science division.

The Livestock Evaluation team also included Kenzie Kooima, who took 12th place, and Jacob Erickson, who came in 41st. Teaneasha Vogel and  Alexis Meyer competed in  Food Science and Technology. Vogel got sixth place and Meyer took 9th.

The Natural Resources team took fourth place. Individually, Carter Gloe took 11th, Megan Wiese was 17th, Ashlynn Lamp finished 26th, Alayna Gloe was 34th, and Veronica Fonder was 44th.

The Agriculture Mechanics team also won a  fourth-place award.  Individually, Cody Wiik was sixth, Sebastion Volge was 14th, Lane Johnson came in 23rd, Isaak Weston was 34th, and Samuel Shelstad took 38th.

The Vet Science team collected sixth place. Kayla Schweer was one of the top finishers. She took third place. Brookyln Twedt was 27th. Ashlee VanHoorn was 29th, and Bella Hicks took 44th.

The Horse Evaluation team was made up of Taylor Anderson, who earned sixth place, and Bailey Schwagel, who took 36th place.

The Milk Quality Products team also won a sixth-place award. Individually, Avery Lamp was 11th. Luke Torgerson was 20th, and Payton Lamp was 28th.

The Floriculture team finished 11th. Tatum Gerdes took 45th place. Josselyn Garcia was 49th. Ixtal Macias earned 56th, and Shelbi Pollock was 58th.
