Milbank FFA members competed at the 97th South Dakota FFA Convention in Brookings from April 3-5.  Hunter Reede took first place in the Food Science competition. His win propelled Milbank’s Food Science team to eighth place. Cody Wiik earned second place in Ag Mechanics to help his team take sixth place. Bailey Schwagel also brought home second-place honors in Horse Evaluation. Kayla Schweer took seventh place in Vet Science. She and her team members received 18th place.

Other highlights from the convention: Senior Veronica Fonder was awarded her State Degree.

Junior Ashlynn Lamp performed the National Anthem to open the second general session. 
Sara Colombe and Hannah Schraeder serve as the co-advisers of the Milbank FFA Chapter.
