Jericho Jones Chosen May Student of the Month for MHS

Jericho Jones, a 2025 graduate, has been chosen as the May Student of the Month for Milbank High School. She is the daughter of Jenette Benscoter

At MHS, Jericho participated in tennis, oral interpretation, and HOSA. She also served as the tennis student manager and as a member of  the student council. Jericho was selected as one of only 10 juniors and seniors from across South Dakota to be a student ambassador of the peer-led Safe2Say program. She also placed first in the ceramics division of the regional Art Wars competition.

Jericho received the NSU WolfPACT Scholarship ($7000), Doug and Linda Buri Student Selection Scholarship ($2500), the Paul and Aaron Buri Scholarship ($5000), The Valley Express Snow Queen Scholarship ($500), and the American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship ($250).

Jericho was chosen the winner of the 2024 Milbank Snow Queen Festival and currently reigns as Miss Milbank 2025. She plans to attend Northern State University in the fall.
