MHS seniors were honored on Awards Day for all the scholarships they received this year. Including the scholarships by colleges and tech schools, the Milbank Education Foundation, and various organizations and individual donors, the Class of 2025 received $1,849,296.01.
Emmett Hanson was awarded several scholarships, one of which was the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Committee Scholarship. The $500 scholarship provides financial assistance to a student who plans to pursue post-secondary education in an agriculture-related field at any accredited university, college, or technical school.
Jamie Henderson, executive director of the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) said, “Congratulations to Emmett Hanson – our 2025 recipient. Exciting news! Next year, the Milbank Area Chamber Agriculture Committee will award two $1,000 scholarships.” Henderson reminds everyone: “The scholarships are supported through our annual Ag Appreciation Day.” Any MHS senior pursuing a career in agriculture is welcome to apply.
