Mark Leddy announced the sale of the GrandStay Hotel and Suites in Milbank to a new group of owners led by Alan Schmidgall and Nathan Sieve. According to Leddy, the transaction was completed on Monday, June 30, and the new management’s first day of operation was today, July 1.
Schmidgall and Sieve bring extensive hospitality experience to Milbank. Schmidgall represents the ownership of the GrandStay Hotel and Prime Steakhouse in Morris, Minnesota. Sieve owns and operates Blue Sky Hospitality in Elk River, Minnesota, the hotel management company for the properties.
“Guests can expect a seamless transition and the continuation of high standards that have made the GrandStay a standout since its opening,” Sieve said. The hotel opened in 2018.
Leddy also commented, “We are confident the new owners will continue to uphold the values and quality our guests have come to expect. The property, which offers a complimentary hot breakfast and an indoor pool, is part of the GrandStand hospitality family found across the Midwest.
