Peter Nelson, age 60 of Revillo, died in a house fire in Revillo on Thursday, August 14. Emergency services responded to a call of a structure fire at 8:45 a.m. Upon arrival, fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze, but Nelson was pronounced deceased.
The Revillo Fire Department, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the South Dakota Fire Marshal Service, and Grant-Roberts Ambulance Service responded and assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
