1st Bank & Trust Donates Over $10,000 to Combined Appeal

Giving back isn’t a one-time event at 1st Bank & Trust of Milbank —it’s a year-round commitment.

That commitment was clear when staff members of 1st Bank & Trust presented a check for $10,110 to Jolene Rick, head of Grant County Combined Appeal. This year’s donation marks more than two decades of support. 

1st Bank & Trust has partnered with Combined Appeal since 2004. This year they helped to fund 21 local organizations that serve Grant County residents. Every dollar raised stays right here at home.

What sets 1st Bank & Trust apart is how giving is woven into their everyday work life. Employees are encouraged to donate throughout the year, most commonly through payroll deduction. Many staff members choose to contribute the equivalent of one hour of pay each month. The bank then matches those gifts dollar for dollar—instantly doubling the impact.

The bank’s goal of generosity goes even further. Employees who participate in the program are rewarded with days off, reinforcing the idea that giving back is valued.
