The Third Annual First and Second-Year Honor Band Concert was held in the Ortonville School Auditorium on Saturday, April 25. Noemi Landon on clarinet and Bianca Cruz on the alto saxophone, both sixth graders at Milbank Milbank School, were selected for the band.
Also joining the group were students from Canby, Browns Valley, Dawson-Boyd, Lac qui Parle, Hendricks, Montevideo, Ortonville, Summit, Wheaton, and Willmar. Students were chosen by director nomination.
The honor band was under the direction of Del Hubers from the Brandon Valley Intermediate School in Brandon. Their selections ranged from “Journey Through the Galaxy” by Aleandre Carlin, to “Antz” by Carol Brittin Chambers, and “Boundless Spirit” by Katie O’Hara LaBrie, and “Rhino Ruckus” by Erin Keeton-Howard.
