Keira Steffen joined the top one percent of graduating seniors in South Dakota at the 36th Annual Academic Excellence Recognition luncheon held April 27 in Rapid City. Governor Larry Rhoden’s office and the Associated School Boards of South Dakota recognized scholars in the Class of 2026 from the state’s public, private, and tribal schools.
Each honoree received a certificate, a commemorative state pin, and the opportunity to meet Lt. Gov. Tony Venhuizen. Venhuizen praised the students for their strong work ethic and dedication. He also said their success is a positive sign for the future of South Dakota.
