Fourth-grade teacher Sara Johnson was surprised today, Thursday, February 12, when Dave Graf principal of MIlbank Elementary announced her name as the 2026 Teacher of the Year for the Milbank School District. Mrs. Johnson’s family, fellow staff members, and elementary students joined Graf in congratulating her. She received a bouquet of flowers and a gift certificate.
Mrs. Johnson now moves on to compete for the honor of regional Teacher of the Year The winner of the regional award becomes eligible for the state title.
