Milbank students excelled at South Dakota’s state competition of Educators Rising held on the campus of Black Hills State University in Spearfish from February 22-23.  Our 400 students from across South Dakota competed. All eight MHS members who attended earned state recognition, and as a group, Milbank received the Outstanding Chapter Award. Five MHS students qualified for the national conference to be held June 20-23 in Portland, Oregon. 

The second day of the event featured keynote speakers, breakout sessions, tours, and the awards presentation. Nicci Stengel serves as the adviser of the Milbank Chapter, and she accompanied the students to State.
