The Milbank High School Band was selected as the “Band of the Day” for Thursday, March 12, during the 2026 South Dakota State A Girls Basketball Tournament. The MHS band will play for all four games.
The state tournament will be held at the Watertown Civic Arena from March 12-14. The Tournament Band is responsible for performing the National Anthem at the beginning of each session on their designated day. Bands are selected in an application process and chosen by the SDHSAA.
Between sessions, the students will enjoy downtime at Infinity Fun Family Fun Center. Susan Karels, Milbank’s band director for grades 6-12, will accompany the students.
