The Milbank Area Chamber and the Big Stone Lake Area Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting for Our Store in Big Stone on Thursday, June 11. Our Store is located in the former Big Stone School, now called the Big Stone Commons. The event encompassed a Grand Opening celebration that included a roast beef sandwich meal and live music by Julie Lee and her White Rose Band.
Our Store is a low-cost retail store with a purpose. Every item is new and every purchase helps provide resources for children and families through Building Our Families. Building Our Families is an innovative local program that brings together supportive services to strengthen families and protect the children in our area that are most vulnerable to abuse and neglect.
